Alma Accent Pixel RF treatment uses proprietary InMotion Refractive Radiofrequency Micro Plasma Technology. The combination of micro plasma and radiofrequency both ablates and warms the skin through controlled, focused delivery of energy. The treatment is fractionated meaning that the skin is ablated in a microscopic grid of dots. The healthy skin around the microscopic dots of ablated skin helps to accelerate the healing process. This both improving results of the treatment and reduces patient down time since only the targeted tissues need to heal. The result is fresh, smooth, radiant skin.
The pulses of laser light are passed over the skin that last less than a millisecond. You will feel minimal to no discomfort. Your skin will be treated one section at a time by rolling the Halo hand piece in a criss-cross pattern. As the laser is passed over the skin, it delivers energy in short pulses. The treatment is progressively applied to the target treatment areas. The entire procedure typically requires under 30 minutes to perform, depending on the areas being treated and the patient goals.

As with any medical procedure, side effects and healing time vary by patient. After treatment, skin in the treated area may feel hot, similar to a sunburned sensation. Slight swelling in the treated area may be experienced for a few days. For the first couple of days after the treatment, you will apply an ointment to the skin in the treated area to facilitate healing. Skin in the treated area may look and feel a little dry as new skin replaces damaged tissue. This is a sign that healing is underway.

Patients typically start with one treatment with best results seen with up to four treatments. Multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results, although substantial improvement may be seen with a single treatment.
